How are your products "one-of-a-kind"?

There's only one like it. It cannot be duplicated, not even by me!  The fluidity will have a say in the final outcome and that can't be replicated.

 

Will I get what I see in your photographs?

Yes!  However, please keep in mind that color settings on your device or monitor may subtly change the way the piece looks.  

They can also appear different in varying light, for example indoor vs outdoor.

What materials do you use to create your items?​

The Makai Sunrise Shop specializes in resin and other fluids to create the art that transforms common, everyday items into one-of-a-kind functional and/or display art pieces. Although additional media may be utilized, our main media is Art Resin and Acrylic Paints.

What is fluid art?​

Media that is free-flowing fluid; in other words it is liquid.

What is resin?​

Art resin is a specialized type of epoxy resin designed for artistic and creative applications. It's fluid, and formulated to offer a high-gloss and crystal-clear finish with features like non-yellowing protection.

Are your products food safe?​

Yes. The Makai Sunrise Shop only uses certified, food grade safe resins on all kitchenware items.

​

Can I put kitchenware items in the dishwasher or microwave?

​No to both!  Heat will degrade the resin.  It will not only peel off, it’s food safe properties may be compromised as well.  

 

How do I care for my product?​​

Display pieces can be wiped down with soap and water, or cleaned with a window spray.

Kitchenware items can be handwashed.

 

When do you add products on your website?

Sometimes even daily!  The Makai Sunrise Shop is always creating and customers should check back frequently!
